LANDMARK SALE OF BOYABAT HYDROELECTRIC

Baykal | Saris Law Firm acted as buyer’s counsel to Bilgin Enerji, in collaboration with Gökkılıç Law Office, on the landmark acquisition of 100% of the shares in Boyabat HEPP. The transaction involved the purchase from, among others, Doğan Enerji and Doğuş Holding; and the simultaneous restructuring of Boyabat’s debts.

With an installed capacity of 513 MW, Boyabat HEPP is one of Turkiye’s largest hydroelectric power plants and cornerstone of Turkiye’s renewable energy infrastructure.
